What to Expect

Your Acupuncture Visit

Our acupuncturists are trained in a range of traditional and modern techniques. Depending on your condition, your treatment may include one or a combination of the following therapies — all designed to relieve pain, restore balance, and support your body's natural healing.

Treatments We Offer

Acupuncture

Fine, sterile needles are inserted into specific points on the body to stimulate the flow of energy (Qi), reduce pain, and promote healing. Each session is tailored to your condition and comfort level.

Acupressure

A needle-free technique that applies firm pressure to key points along the body's meridians. Ideal for patients who prefer a gentle approach, acupressure relieves tension, eases pain, and promotes relaxation.

Cupping

Glass or silicone cups are placed on the skin to create suction, drawing blood flow to tight or injured areas. Cupping helps release deep muscle tension, reduce inflammation, and speed up recovery.

Tuina

A therapeutic form of Chinese massage that uses targeted pressure, kneading, and stretching along the body's meridians. Tuina helps relieve muscle tension, improve joint mobility, and support recovery from injuries.

TENS (Electrical Stimulation)

Small, gentle electrical pulses are passed through the acupuncture needles or via pads on the skin. TENS helps to block pain signals, reduce muscle spasms, and stimulate the release of natural painkillers (endorphins).

Gua Sha

A smooth-edged tool is pressed and scraped along the skin to stimulate blood flow and break up stagnation in the muscles. Gua Sha is effective for chronic pain and tight shoulders, providing immediate relief.

Moxa (Moxibustion)

A traditional technique where dried mugwort herb is burned near the skin to warm specific acupuncture points. Moxa improves circulation, boosts energy, and is particularly effective for cold or stiff conditions.
